Richard Williams

​Chief Financial Officer


Richard brings a wealth of financial experience having held a variety of senior roles in oil and gas and investment banking. With 10 of his 25 years spent in the renewable energy sector, he provides an invaluable contribution to our strategic business planning as we transition more and more into renewables from a predominantly hydrocarbon background. Richard is based in Singapore and holds ultimate responsibility for all financial affairs for the BL Energy Group. Richard is a member of  the Executive Management Team.   

NEIL Bonner

Chief Executive Officer


Neil’s career spans more than 28 years in the oil & gas, marine and nuclear sectors. He joined BL Energy from Qatargas where he led the negotiations with multi-national shareholders to secure the investment needed for the first expansion phase of the Laffan Refinery and shaping the strategic vision for what would become the world's biggest condensate refinery. With accountability for a number of capital development projects he earned a reputation for delivering exemplary shareholder value. His final role with QG was as Technical Advisor to the Board of Directors for the Zekreet Gasoline Company (a wholly owned subsidiary of Qatar Petroleum). Previously, Neil held senior roles with KBR, Shell and  ExxonMobil. He holds a BEng, an MBA and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.  

Ernest Jacob

​Field Operations Director - II&NA


Ernie's career includes some 30 years in engineering and construction with much time in the Middle East Region. Ernie brings invaluable Iraq experience having spent the last decade on-the-ground in Iraq and involved in a number of key field development projects in Majnoon, Rumaila, West Qurna and Fao. He has invested significant time developing value-add local content initiatives which has helped IOCs deliver results. His understanding of local constraints combined with hands-on Iraqi knowledge allows BLE to deliver real value to key clients in Iraq.

Samantha WOON

​Business Support Services Manager

Samantha has been involved in a variety of businesses within oil & gas, engineering and construction.  She is fully accustomed to assuring an efficient suite of services which ensure robust functional support to both projects and corporate management.  She brings invaluable experience to the team gained from working on projects with such companies as ExxonMobil, BP, Kentz and GPS.  Her expertise extends across all aspects of HR, Office Management, Procurement, Data Management and Control, Organizational Design and Change, Project Management and Contract Administration. Samantha is a key member of the Senior Management Team.  

Abigail Murphy

Group Marketing Director


Abigail brings over 12 years of corporate marketing and branding experience, 6 of which include renewable and sustainable energy. She is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of BLE's group-wide marketing strategy, communications, branding and public relations, both externally and internally. Development of strategic marketing plans help create added value which ultimately translates into market share. Abigail also oversees promotional support and sponsorship maintaining key customer relationships through the organization and development of specific customer-relations programs; determining company presence at conventions, annual meetings, trade associations, and seminars.

Chris Forde

Regional Director - Europe & UK


Chris is operational responsibility for our European and UK operations. has over 30 years’ international experience with significant experience gained in the UK North Sea and Norway. Chris brings a wealth of project delivery experience with significant experience in gas and fire safety. Chris has held a variety of senior management roles with leading companies in the industry. Chris is a member of the Senior Management Team and carries oversight of a broad range of activities spanning engineering, contracts and procurement, project management and operations and maintenance.

Chloe Martin

Group Head of HR 


Chloe holds ultimate responsibility for Global Human Resources comprising talent acquisition, talent development, retention, compensation and benefits, industrial relations, organizational development, succession planning, leadership development, organizational structuring and change, employee training, development and welfare, recruitment, company culture and new office start ups.  Chloe works with business units and individuals globally to ensure our HR systems and procedures are supporting our operations effectively leaving our project teams to get on with delivering work.

TOM O'Connor

Vice President - Business Development

Tom is responsible for Business Development throughout Europe. With a proven track record in Renewable Energy, Tom spearheads BLE's strategic business objective to become a global leader in clean energy. Whilst Tom is based out of the Dublin office, he is often found traveling to other corners of the globe to leverage global talent, locally in Europe. Tom is actively involved in driving BLE's CARE (Clean and Renewable Energy) Sales Strategy ensuring BLE's fit for purpose solutions are competitively priced for major projects within the group. Tom sits on the Board of the ISABC.

Pedro SIlva

​Vice President - Risk & Compliance

Pedro is BLE's Group Director for risk and compliance. An economist with a strong financial background, Pedro's professional experience includes  advisory and consulting roles within the financial, government and public sectors, addressing corporate finance, treasury transformation, risk management and business continuity (internal controls, compliance). often in complex business environments across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Pedro left Ernst & Young to join BLE in Bahrain. Pedro plays a pivotal role in the development and drive of BLE's strategic acquisitions.   

ANDREW beauman

Vice President - QHSE


As BLE's VP Q-HSE, Andy holds ultimate responsibility for the implementation, effectiveness and continuous improvement of BLE's Quality and Safety systems, processes and procedures.  He regularly engages with the various business units regarding their projects to ensure our Q-HSE policies are robust and achieving what they are setup to do. The Senior Management team instill a ‘can do’ attitude which is supported by strong technical skill sets across our business units and various market sectors.  BLE's Q-HSE systems are built on leading technology to allow for ease of communication and management between regions, countries and projects within them.  

Kevin Lowder

Group Director - Estimating & Proposals
Kevin's career spans more than 30 years, with nearly 20 of these years spent supporting and promoting business within the oil, gas and heavy industries. During this time he has held several senior roles, taking ownership of the estimating and proposal process. He has worked with such companies as Weatherford, Tyco, Nigerdock and Lamprell to name but a few, with extensive experience in Europe, West Africa and the Middle East. Kevin is well-versed in all phases of proposal management and development and is the ultimate custodian, holding corporate authority for the initiation, progress and customer liaison for all business opportunities within the Group, through to contract award and eventual handover to operations.
